What is the best elite for a Hero Protection Monk?
In PvE, which elite will be best overall for my Hero Protection Monk?

put [skill]restore condition[/skill] on a hero and watch while all the bars in your party display stay red, occasionally blinking green.

RC is not so great if there are no/not many conditions around, and it is only target other ally. Not that it is bad, just not the best ever, IMO.
If you are talking OVERALL, I think that SoD is a fine choice. Heroes seem to use it well and there is really no downside to the spell. It does cost 10 energy, but that is offset by the 5 second recharge so heroes can't go spam crazy with it.
[skill]Shield of Regeneration[/skill] is also a good choice for heroes, but they will likely waste some of the regen so that is not so good. But, they do tend to at least try and get the most out of the regen. Anyway, SoD is my choice for best overall/least downside.

[skill]restore condition[/skill] is great for condition heavy areas, [skill]shield of regeneration[/skill]+[skill]glyph of lesser energy[/skill] is pretty good 2 imo, but i also find that [skill]gift of health[/skill]+[skill]zealous benediction[/skill] on a prot monk works pretty well

To this point, I've always brought [skill]Life Sheath[/skill]. Once I've capped [skill]Shield of Regeneration[/skill], I'll have to consider that as an alternative.

[skill]Restore Condition[/skill] is what i usually use since i'm a big fan of not using anything other than 5-energy spells with hero monks. usually it seems like if you give a remove hex or condition to a monk, they go nuts with it and spam it as much as possible.
with [skill]Restore Condition[/skill] that's kinda helpful actually. i didn't realize the ai knew how to use [skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill] though so that opens up your options.
before they nerfed the energy gain on [skill]Zealous Benediction[/skill] i used that too.
